Continental Airlines
Medical and Training Building
The Medical and Training Building for Continental Airlines at Newark Liberty Airport was to contain 54,000 square feet. The design for the upper floors included 15 A/V equipped 32-person classrooms, that would serve Continental’s ongoing training program for all types of employees. The ground floor was to house a 7,000 square foot Door Trainer facility with seven aircraft simulators, and an 8,000 square foot Medical Office, including a physical therapy suite, x-ray room, exam rooms and testing facilities. The building was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, however due to the recessionary economic environment at the time, the project was not built.
