Lecture Hall Upgrades

CUNY Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY

Project size : 3,500 SF

Brooklyn College with CUNY retained Graf & Lewent to renovate three existing lecture rooms in two different buildings. Two of the lecture rooms are in one building and were approximately 70 years old. One of the lecture rooms was total reoriented and the existing raised platforms were removed and re-built. In the others two lecture room ramps were rebuilt to allow ADA access but the existing platforms, in general, remain. One lecture rooms will seat 77 and the second will accommodate 85 and the third will have a capacity of 165.

Two of the lecture rooms will receive all new finishes, acoustical clouds for acoustical purposes with direct and indirect lighting and wainscot panels to protect the wall. The seating will include built in tables with movable chairs and a “state of the art” audio visual system.
