Lehman College

2850 Goulden Avenue, Bronx, NY

Project Size: 4,950 SF

Graf and Lewent was retained by CUNY to renovate three laboratory spaces for Lehman College in the Bronx. Two of the labs, each approximately 1500 square feet, are used as Anatomy and Physiology Teaching labs. These labs include space for both seminar type learning and bench work in the same room. The rooms both have independent air, gas and vacuum turret in the space.

In the other building, a flexible wet teaching lab for science education teaching was developed with a preparation room and lab lecture area. The space contains approximately 1950 square feet in total. The lab area includes a fume hood, biosafety cabinet and individual local exhaust system at each group work table. In the prep room there is an incubator, autoclave, centrifuge and water purification system. The lab has a state-of-the-art A/V system with the ability to project on different screens at once with different images.
